Air Travel

Symposium participants will fly into Heraklion, Crete (airport code HER). Flights from Athens to Heraklion are relatively cheap if booked in advance. Participants may consider flying into Eleftherios Venizelos International Athens Airport (airport code ATH) and purchasing a separate ticket from ATH to HER on Aegean Airlines.

Ground Transportation

The airport is approximately 4 km from the LATO Boutique Hotel. Taxis are available at the airport. The fare is approximately 10-12 Euros. Participants can also book transportation through the hotel. For 15 Euros, a driver will meet you at the airport and bring you to the hotel. Information on booking a taxi through the hotel is available at www.lato.gr/the-hotel/services/hotel-transport.

Visa Requirements

Individuals with valid passports from EU countries, United States, Canada, Brazil, and Japan do not require a visa to attend the symposium in Greece. Participants from other countries must check with the Greek embassy or consulate in their country.
